Household Items
I cook 90% of my meals, which means a lot of dishes. I have a young child, which means I value quality time over a perfectly clean home…but I also need to clean as a form of discipline and helping with a healthy mind so I need to know that I can rely on clean household products that limit environmental exposure/risk to my child (and pets). These are some items that I use and appreciate. I’ve made these changes little by little, which is what I encourage. Don’t stress over all-or-nothing thinking.

Thriving Child
Little things here and there that help my little one child. This doesn’t guarantee yours will use these items or like them; as parents we all know they, like us, are all unique in their own ways. I find involving my daughter in meal times and meal prep with me, reduces picky-eating tendencies/bouts. Be sure to add a sprinkle of fun in as that’s usually “the secret ingredient”. Big dinosaur bite or small dinosaur bite?

Clothing
I have been raised to know second-hand clothing and to wear things for a long time, probably longer than I should realistically. But as I let go of the items that I no longer wear/use/need, I invite in lesser amounts of higher-quality items that will be sure to be long-lasting. Also focusing on bringing in cleaner clothing that wasn’t produced using harmful chemicals that can get absorbed into the skin.
Outdoor – Friction friendly
I value and am grateful that I was raised knowing nature. In my practice I value supporting the environment and utilizing tools that mother nature produces. In turn, we must return the favor and care for our environment. When it comes to the foundation of [Movement] activities outdoors are my absolute favorite. From camping to snowboarding, swimming, hiking and bicycling and so many others, nature is where I find my peace and supports my spiritual health. If I can move my body, balance my biorhythms, breathe fresh air, it’s compounded benefit. These recommendations are for supporting those of you also value nature and invite friction into your life through movement and activity with nature.
